BOUND 

A sort of Thelma & Louise meet Last Seduction & The Coen Bros. 
over Reservoir Dogs & Hitch cocktails, this is a cool, kinky 
nail-biter that Procrastinators of all ages should enjoy. The 
well-muscled, sexy-mouthed Gina Gershon plays an ex con hired 
to overhaul an apartment in a mob-run building where the Betty 
Boopish Jennifer Tilly keeps house for a Mob money launderer. 
Jenny and Gina soon form a steamy lesbian relationship and 
conspire to rip the mob off for 2 million. Of course the plan 
doesn't go quite right and to reveal any more would detract from 
your enjoyment of the film. Let's just say this is one of those 
movies that revels in turning film noir convention on it's ear. 
The movie is creatively shot and the colors are wonderfully dark 
and decadent. In short, this is one of the more essential 
rentals to come out of 1996. B+
